Early literacy builds the foundation for academic achievement.
Davis School District’s Family Literacy Nights help families support children’s reading and learning from the earliest years through elementary school. Families will participate in hands-on activities, learn practical strategies and choose four sessions tailored to their child’s age, grade and learning needs.
Sessions are designed for children ages 0–3, ages 3–5, kindergarten and first grade, and second and third grade. Sessions will be offered in English and Spanish, with interpretation available in additional languages.

When families have the tools to support literacy at home, they help children build skills that prepare them for future learning and success in school.

A School Community Council (SCC) is a parent committee that oversees the expenditures of Utah Trust Lands Funds. Our SCC meets with school administrators once a month to review student learning data, distribute technology resources, and support student well-being.
