Join Davis Reads 45 this summer! Students are challenged to read for 45 days, earning prizes every 5 days and a special end-of-summer event for those who complete the challenge. Pick up books during summer library hours. Families should check with their local elementary school for specific days and times. Regular summer reading helps prevent learning loss and supports continued academic growth. Contact your school or library to get started!

• A computer and internet access for those who qualify

Welcome to our weekly staff spotlight. Devon Newby is a 3rd grade teacher at Kaysville Elementary. Her mom is also an elementary school teacher and she loved going to school with her so much that she decided to become a teacher herself! She loves building relationships with her students and watching them grow. In her free time she loves reading, shopping and watching TV. She loves the Utah Jazz and one fun fact about her is that she has seen every NBA team play in person!

Welcome to our weekly staff spotlight. Meet Danielle Monsen! She is a 5th grade teacher at Kaysville Elementary. Her favorite part of the job is the many cute things that the kids do that make it hard not to laugh or smile. She loves watching them as they grow throughout the year. If she weren’t a teacher she would have pursued a job in chemistry – her favorite subject to study in college. Her favorite children’s book in Restart by Gordon Korman.

Welcome to our weekly staff spotlight! Lisa Fuller is a 5th grade teacher and has been at Kaysville Elementary for 17 years! She had wonderful teachers and wanted to be just like them so she because a teacher too! She loves to help her students learn and grow their brains and self esteem. Her dream vacation would be to stay on the beach and have a private chef! Guess what? She graduated from East High School…the same high school that the High School Musical movies were filmed!

Welcome to our weekly staff spotlight! Abbie Finlinson is a 1st grade teacher and Kaysville Elementary. She come from a long line of teachers…her mom, both grandmas and her grandpa were all educators! One thing she loves about teaching is when something finally clicks in a student. Her dream vacation is Disneyland and if she wasn’t a teacher she would love to be a Disney Imagineer. One fun fact about her is that she adopted twin girls from Tonga and spent a month living there and in Fiji.

Welcome to our weekly staff spotlight! Debbi Dobson is Nutrition Services Manager. She enjoys being with her family, traveling, and playing with her dog…a 130 pound fluffy Golden Pyrenees. Another job she would love would be a surgeon. She love Café Rio, Fresca with crushed Ice and the Boston Red Sox. She gets to travel to fun locations with her husband twice a year and she loves it!
