Welcome to our weekly staff spotlight! Catherine Kohl is the Principal of Kaysville Elementary. She loves to read, spend time with family, exercise and travel. Her favorite book is A Tale of Two Beasts and her dream vacation would be an African Sarari. One part of her job she loves is witnessing all the fabulous instruction that happens at Kaysville Elementary and being part of a dedicated staff. A fun fact about Mrs. Koh is that she competed in the Jr. Olympics when she was in 8th grade!
Welcome to our weekly staff spotlight! Aaron Morton is a 6th Grade teacher. He used to be a sports journalist, but he’s a teacher now and loves helping students see their potential! He loves hiking with his dogs, popcorn, and soccer (both playing and watching it). He was once featured in a Scottish Newspaper for traveling 4,500 miles to see a soccer team I've been a fan of since college: Greenock Morton FC
Parent Teacher Conferences are February 11 & 12. School will be dismissed at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week.

Welcome to our weekly staff spotlight! Kati Penner is the Kaysville Elementary Librarian and I’ll bet you can’t guess her favorite hobby...it’s READING!! She was inspired to be an elementary school librarian by her own elementary school librarian who made reading books out loud seem like magic! Her favorite part of her job is connecting kids to books they love and reading out loud to the kids in school. A fun fact about Mrs. Penner is that her husband is a pilot so she has been able to travel to many places. She loves learning about the people and their culture when she travels!
Hearing Screenings will take place on February 19 for students in kindergarten, 1st & 3rd grades, as well students new to Davis School District. Please watch for more information being sent home with your child.

She was inspired to be a teacher because she had amazing teachers that made a difference in her own life! If she wasn’t a teacher she would be a tour director and her dream vacation would be an extended stay on the beach! One of Mrs. Sieverts’ talents is playing the piano and she even played for the school during an assembly...WOW!

Her favorite hobby is music and she has played the violin for 41 years. Something you might not know about her is that she can do the splits and has a pet snake named Charlotte!

She loves reading, baking, gardening and building Harry Potter Lego. Fun facts about Mrs. Montoya are that she is good at cake decorating and loves desert camping!

She is a 3rd generation Davis School District educator, but if she weren’t a teacher she would love to be a flight attendant. She has lived in three countries and four states…wow! She likes to cook and sew and loves numbers and statistics!
